Kai Trump can count on numerous prominent backers when she begins her first LPGA appearance later this week.

This teenage golfer, who is related to Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

The former president, a passionate golfer, operates multiple courses worldwide and frequently plays against Kai.

"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we have competitive games," she mentioned.

She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Just stay calm."

"He basically suggested to compete and relax," she continued.

"In my eyes, he's simply an ordinary family member. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, making him quite busy."

While still amateur, Kai has competed in only three events in 2024 and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.

However she's able to receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Vanessa.

"He stands as the best player globally," Kai expressed.

"Furthermore, he's a superior person. He advised me to play, enjoy myself, and go with whatever happens."

She'll challenge some of the biggest names in women's golf at the competition, including second-ranked the champion, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Officials mentioned that her participation brings the sport to wider groups, specifically reaching the next generation.

Kai has millions of followers and has started an exclusive clothing and lifestyle brand.

The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
