Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
A jet transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed following established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a online announcement.
The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital during the flight.
This event does not mark the first time that a US military aircraft transporting a top government figure has suffered equipment failures.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to turn back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical fault.
